Short version: Brick Warp has no ads, no accounts and no third-party SDKs. When a run ends, the game sends that run's statistics to our own server, such as the level you reached, your score and what you bought in the shop, together with a random ID the game makes up for itself. It sends no name, email, advertising ID or hardware ID. You can turn this off at any time in Options.
In this policy, "we" means Tomasz Software, the developer of Brick Warp, who decides how this data is used.
Each time a run ends, the game sends one report about that run. A run that ends on level one is not reported at all. A report contains:
When the report arrives, our server adds the time it was received. The connection's IP address is not saved, and we do not use it to work out where you are.
The game sends nothing while you play. It never sends your name, email, contacts, photos, files, location, advertising ID, or hardware identifiers such as IMEI, serial number, MAC address or Android ID.
Reports are sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection to a server we run. If there is no connection when a run ends, the report is kept in the game's save and sent the next time a run ends or the game starts, and the game keeps at most the 20 most recent unsent reports. The game plays fully without an internet connection.
To understand how the game actually plays and to improve it: which levels are too hard or too easy, where players stop, what they buy, which power-ups are useful, and whether the shape of the screen makes the game harder on some devices. We look at these statistics in aggregate.
We do not use them for advertising, we do not build profiles of players, we do not combine them with other data, and we do not sell them.
We rely on our legitimate interest in improving the game. You can object at any time by turning telemetry off, as described below.
The server that receives reports and the database that stores them are hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., which processes the data on our behalf as our service provider. The database is located in Europe. We share the data with no one else.
Every report is deleted automatically within 90 days of being received. Our server uses the IP address only for a moment, to limit how many reports a single address can send in a minute, and does not store it.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the data about you, to have it deleted, to object to its use, and to complain to a data protection authority. In Poland, that authority is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
The install ID is not shown anywhere in the game and is not linked to your name, email or any account, so from a request alone we cannot tell which reports came from your device. The most effective way to stop the processing is to turn telemetry off, and reset progress removes the ID from your device. Whatever was already sent is deleted automatically within 90 days of being received. You are welcome to contact us with any request or question at the address below.
Game progress and settings (such as best score and level, lifetime statistics, unlocked achievements and cosmetics, a suspended run, chosen language, and other settings) are stored on the device, using Android SharedPreferences. The same save also holds the install ID, any reports that have not been sent yet, and, while a run is paused, that run's statistics so far. This data is removed when you clear the app data or uninstall the app, unless you later restore it from a device backup.
Brick Warp lets Android's built-in backup include this one game save file, and nothing else from the app. If backup is turned on for your device, Android may copy the save to the backup of your Google account and restore it when you reinstall the game or set up a new device. It can also be copied directly to a new device during a device-to-device transfer.
Because the save includes the install ID, a restored game keeps the same ID, and any reports that were waiting in the save are sent from the restored game.
The backup is made, stored, and restored by Android and Google under your account and your settings, not by us, and we have no access to it. You can turn backup off in your device's settings, and manage or delete existing backups in your Google account.
The app requests these device permissions:
android.permission.INTERNET), used only to send the run reports described above.android.permission.VIBRATE), used only for the optional in-game haptic feedback you can switch on or off in settings.android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE and android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK), used only by the music player in Extras, so the game's own soundtrack can keep playing after you leave the game and stay under Android's media controls. While it plays, Android shows its standard media notification.android.permission.WAKE_LOCK), used only to keep that music playing while the screen is off. It does not keep the screen on.The app requests no camera, microphone, location, contacts, storage, or notification permissions, and declares no advertising ID.
The only connection the game makes is the one that sends run reports to our server. It loads no ads, contains no third-party SDKs, and downloads nothing. Device backup, if you have it turned on, is carried out by Android itself, as described above.
The game does not ask for anyone's age, has no ads or accounts, and sends the same kind of run statistics for every player. Those statistics are not linked to anyone's identity and are not used to target anyone. The game is suitable for general audiences.
If the app changes in a way that affects privacy, this policy will be updated and the updated version published at this same location before the change takes effect.
